Welcome to the latest Good News Letter!

Let’s keep the good news flowing as the world keeps on spinning. As we begin to move out of the shadows of the Covid pandemic, we start to come back in to the light of outdoor live music and eventually to performing back inside at our favorite venues. On that note I am happy to announce that we will be performing at one of my favorite venues - Art Bar LA - this coming Sunday April 11th! Check the flier for the details....

In other good news I finally came to an agreement with myself to release a bunch of B side songs on Soundcloud! Some of these songs I have had in my hard drives for over 14 years! A lot of these were intended to be parts of albums or EP’s. The main reason they didn’t was due to my perfectionist shortcomings and self critique. I also have grown as a singer, songwriter, and musician since those early exploratory days and there is a sort of bearing my scars to the world with these tunes. I have decided I would rather have them out there for you enjoy their vibes and message than for them sit here in my computer for the rest of my days. I put a lot of energy and soul into these works; maybe they exist as mere stepping stones to the songs that were to follow; maybe they just need to live outside in the light.

I have been very fortunate to be working with my long time friend and brother from another Duvid Swirsky on his “Ema” project here at Home Bass Studio. These are some incredible songs written in collaboration with his mother Breindie consisting of her illuminating and emotional poetry. Duvid is an incredible artist and I always enjoy working together, especially on songs where the main ingredient is soul! I have been adding drums and percussion to these cuts which is always a joy.

Don’t let my “Home Bass Studio” name fool you - this is no mere laptop and interface with one mic in a spare room. I have collected some incredible recording equipment and rare legendary microphones, a live room and a comfortable vocal booth. The views around the garden are inspiring and relaxing. A great place to come get inspired and recorded! Hit me up if you are looking to record a song, demo, EP, album or any project.

On that note - I am going to get back to work here while the kids are sleeping…
